Welcome to Engage Cityville!

<p>The 9th Avenue Reconstruction portion of the project includes complete reconstruction of the roadway pavement, full installation of concrete curb and gutter, partial replacement of water main and full replacement of water services, improvements to the sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems, traffic signal replacement at Broadway, and construction of a 5-foot concrete sidewalk on the north side and an 6-foot concrete concrete sidewalk on the south side.</p><p>The Broadway portion of the project between West 54th Street and West 57th Street includes partial reconstruction of the roadway pavement, partial replacement of concrete curb and gutter, full replacement of water main and water services, improvements to the storm sewer system, traffic signal replacement at West 58th Street, and construction of a 5-foot concrete sidewalk on the east side of France Avenue between West 57th and West 58th Streets.</p><h3>Stay Informed and Involved</h3><ul><li>Learn more about the project in our Updates and FAQs.</li><li>Drop a pin on our priorities and challenges map so we can better understand what matters most to you!</li><li>Have a question or a quick comment? 9th Avenue Reconstruction

Whenever you run a load of laundry, walk your pet at the park, do your homework at the library, or drive down a street, you are seeing the Cityville budget at work. It&#39;s time to begin working on the budget for Fiscal Year 2025, and we want to hear from you.</p><h3 class="Paragraph SCXW223559055 BCX0">What to Know About the Budget</h3><p>Every June, Cityville starts on the annual budget for the next fiscal year. A <strong>fiscal year</strong> (FY) is the twelve-month period that a city uses for budgeting and accounting&mdash;it can be different than the normal calendar year.</p><ul><li>Our FY 2025 starts on October 1, 2024, and ends on September 30, 2025.</li><li>You can review the FY 2024 budget in the documents on this page to see what Cityville completed last year.</li></ul><p>Overall, the budget items cover:</p><ul><li><strong>Spending</strong> - Capital and Operating expenditure - This is what it costs to deliver the services to Cityville; and</li><li><strong>Revenue</strong> - Rates and other income, and any proposed borrowing needed to cover operating expenses</li></ul><p>Please note that Cityville also has longer-term projects that are not easily changed. For example, the Cityville Park Renewal and the Cityville Flood Infrastructure Project, or projects where what is delivered and the cost is still being assessed. Budget for FY 2025

<p>Cityville is considering community broadband, which will allow us to expand free, public Wi-Fi and explore options to give local businesses and homes the ability to have faster, more affordable broadband.</p><p>A previous community engagement process found that high-speed internet could:</p><ul><li>Enhance efficiency and quality of life for our residents</li><li>Attract and retain next generation employers</li><li>Help entrepreneurs compete globally</li><li>Support student learning</li><li>Empower remote work, reducing carbon emissions</li><li>Give lower income users access to critical technology and resources</li></ul><p>We need your help to measure the need for faster broadband across our community.
